The Granary, December 2015

Streatley Mill from the bridge in the 1890s, (H.W. Taunt)
The application is to demolish the last remnants of Streatley Mill, a building ancillary to the Mill building hundreds of years old (The building is called the "Granary"):
The application was taken off the agenda for the West Berkshire Planning Committee on the day of the committee after I pointed out that there were a series of inconsistencies in the drawings. The planning officer was recommending the application be granted.
In January the plans had to be amended when it was noticed that the plan showing the extent of the development was wrong.
I await a response from West Berkshire Council clarifying how procedurally things will be dealt with. You are allowed to comment by email until the application is determined. It is not therefore too late to object by writing to West Berkshire Council.
The email address is planapps@westberks.gov.uk

My views on the situation can be found on this page (http://www.historicenvironment.co.uk/projects/streatleygranary.htm) and in the PDF report below.
I am strongly against this application and am concerned about how it has been handled by West Berkshire Council.
